The perfect water design
When using 2K Water Gel, the substrate must be flat and watertight. If needed, you can also seal it with NOCH Modelling Compound.
Before you start using the 2K Water Gel, the base plate is prepared. This includes, on the one hand, pre-colouring the lakebed, but also decorating the shore.
Now you can begin with the water design.
First, the two components ‘water gel resin’ and ‘water gel hardener’ are blended in a ratio of 1:1. Consequently, the mixture starts to thicken. After blending, the 2K Water Gel is instantly runny and thus ideally suited to designing still bodies of water like lakes or ponds. After around 30 minutes, however, the consistency becomes honey-like.

Flowing bodies of water can now be realised in an optimal way. After 90 to 120 minutes, the now viscous 2K Water Gel can be used to create streams on steep terrain.
The mass is simply poured onto the desired place and evenly distributed with a paintbrush. For example, you can also press boats into the surface of the water, which is still soft.
Another advantage of the 2K Water Gel is that it can also be used on thermoplastics (heat-sensitive plastics, e.g. NOCH Preformed Layouts).
