1, 2, 3 - Let's go, dear ABC students!
Make table decorations for the first day of school. Who doesn't remember their first day at school? After all, that was (almost) the only school day that was really exciting and fun ;) What's even better than starting school, a school bag, a first exercise book and a new school bag? Definitely: having coffee with the whole family in the afternoon! And to make sure that you and the ABC-graduate can also go on the hunt for top marks with a super decoration, Moni & Steffie have a great idea for your first day at school party. Have fun with the handicrafts!

1) Cork & chalk: A blackboard is created!
Actually, you don't need much for crafting: Cork boards, black acrylic paint, washi tape or painter's masking tape, a bit of real chalk and a chalk painter. You can start designing the "motto board" right away!
First cut out a piece of the cork board measuring approx. 20 x 15 cm. Stick the washi tape or painter's masking tape along the edge of the board and mark out a rectangle, which you can then paint with black acrylic paint. Paint over the tape and, as soon as you have painted everything, remove it again immediately before the paint dries. Now let the paint dry completely on the board.

2) Figures and writing bring life to the board!
When the paint is dry, crumble a little chalk onto the black surface and smudge it on. Then you can write a motto on the board with a chalk painter. We chose "Have fun at the school bench!”. However, we didn't write the "bench", but later took a mini bench from the NOCH kreativ figure assortment and stuck it on the board with the glue gun. And since there are so many different, cute figures, we also stuck the pupils and the teacher on!

3) ABC & 123: Even the cupcakes get the matching decoration!
For the cake pins and place cards (see below), we cut small mini plates from the cork board. A small cork board should be about 5 x 4 cm. Tape the edges again and paint the inside with black acrylic colour. Then peel off the tape and when the paint is completely dry, smudge the boards again with chalk and write on them with chalk marker. "ABC" and "123" fit great on the cake peg! And three letters and numbers are enough, because you shouldn't overdo it with learning on the first day of school ;) Use hot glue to stick a toothpick to the back of each one and the great cookie cutters are ready to decorate the muffins!

4) A place for Fine, Mats, Dad and Grandma: great place cards are made!
What must not be missing are smart place cards which show the guests who sits where. At the head of the table, it's best if the new student takes a seat and places Mum, Dad and Grandma around him. First, grab the remaining 5 x 4 cm small boards and label them with the names of your guests. For the seating cards, you need an eraser as a firm base. So that you can stick the cork board into the eraser stand, the eraser has to be notched. If you don't have a linoleum knife, simply use a craft knife or cutter for this. Fill the resulting groove with hot glue using the glue gun and then place the cork place card in it. If you like, you can decorate the place cards with mini figures.
Your crafted results
Now it can start! Make some coffee, pack the school bag and invite all your friends and relatives. Then nothing stands in the way of a great afternoon of coffee and cake on the first day of school. By the way, for a very special coffee treat, we recommend exquisite coffee from the Hensler coffee roasting company! The family roastery is located in Wangen in Allgäu - just like NOCH kreativ. Sebastian tried the coffee for you and can definitely recommend it!
We wish you lots of fun with the crafts and celebrations and, of course, lots of success and - more importantly - lots of fun at school for the new student!
Another very important note: If children are sitting at your coffee table, please take good care that they do not swallow any of the figures or models. The products are decorative items that are not edible and not intended for children.
Greetings,
