Build and expand your own layout in a short time!
Very simple with our add-on parts and track plans
NOCH Preformed Layouts can be built in a short time without any special knowledge. The track plans help when laying the tracks, as they show the course of the rails made by various model railway manufacturers as well as provide information about the electrical connection.
We have compiled instructions here with all the possibilities of how you can build and expand a layout.
For the most lifelike decoration possible, we have also compiled the accessories here in a special parts list. Of course, you can also design the equipment according to your own wishes. In addition, enlarging the layout is no problem, as almost all NOCH prefabricated terrains comply with a special standardisation. So you can simply choose the right add-on part that suits you best or even combine several prefabricated terraces with each other.
In this way, the layout can be extended to the right, to the left and to the front.
In the inner and outer circle, tracks with the smallest radius 1 are used. This can lead to problems when using long trains and wagons. For example, it is possible that trains or wagons graze against bridge railings or tunnel portals. Please observe the minimum radius specifications of the manufacturer of your vehicles.
If the completed layout is temporarily not in use, you can easily transport it and store it upright. You can find more tips and tricks on the subject of "prefabricated terrain" on our YouTube channel.
Some extensions deeper than 100 cm can be shortened to 100 cm in order to be added to a basic layout with this depth.
The total depth is 120 cm if the basic layout is expanded on both sides and on the front.
For basic layouts with a depth of only 100 cm, the Front Extension (ref. 81980) can be attached to the front.
For basic layouts with a depth of only 100 cm, the Front Extension (ref. 81980) can be attached to the front.
A transformer panel can be mounted if, for example, a basic layout with a depth of 100 cm is extended with a non-shortened extension. Basic layouts of the same depth can be placed directly next to one another. In this way, model railway layouts of different lengths arise, which can then be extended further with extensions. Transformer panels can be added as desired.
