Also in Advent applies: anticipation is the best joy!
Do you already have an advent calendar for your sweetheart? No? Then get started right away! The same questions every year: What should the advent calendar for your boyfriend look like? And what should go in it? Christina from Happy Dings has thought about it! The result is a great idea for a DIY advent calendar with vouchers in matchboxes.

1) Design matchboxes…
First spray the matchboxes in a colour of your choice. Let the boxes dry well. Then arrange them loosely on the canvas and lay them out as you like. Important: There must be some space between the boxes so that your sweetheart can postpone the boxes later and take out the vouchers. Glue the boxes and decorative fir trees in place with the glue. Decorate the boxes with glitter or ice crystals. Then stick numbers from 1 to 24 on the matchboxes. Now you have the 24 doors ready!

2) ... and vouchers in!
Now think of 24 vouchers! Hide them in the matchboxes and choose a suitable mini-figure to decorate each one. For example, a dancing couple for a voucher for an evening of dancing, a mini figure doing housework for a voucher for once cleaning the flat or a pair of lovers for a voucher for a romantic dinner. There are no limits to your imagination!
A tip: If 24 vouchers are too many for you, you can also put chocolate or gummy bears in the matchboxes!

3) The Quick Alternative: A "Last-Minute Advent Calendar"
If you don't have much time because it's suddenly the end of November and you need to improvise an advent calendar quickly, you can also pack all the vouchers in a single box. Just decorate a nice box (have a look at our Colourful Boxes) with the mini figures and decorative fir trees. Put a label on it and you're done!
Your crafted results
Advent is here and I'm already looking forward to some of the vouchers. For example the romantic dinner, because of course I have some of that too ;)
I hope you have fun making them and I would be happy if you would visit my blog Happy Dings!
I wish you a wonderful Advent,
Christina
