1. Snow as soft as cotton wool!
Lay normal cotton wool from the chemist’s on your windowsill! It looks like soft, freshly fallen snow! To do this, pluck the cotton wool so that it looks fluffy. Then place the fairy lights in it and distribute the bulbs evenly. Always hide them behind a layer of cotton wool so that the light shines through the cotton wool in the dark. Be sure to use a string of lights with LEDs, which don’t get that hot and mean there’s no risk of fire. Never leave the fairy lights unattended when on when you leave the room! Better safe than sorry!

2. XMAS! Put up decorative papier-mâché letters!
Loosely place the ‘XMAS’ papier-mâché letters in the cotton wool and pluck around them again so that the cotton wool nicely encloses the bottom of the letters.

3. A winter wonderland with mini figures and Snowy Fir Trees!
Now it’s time for little trees and tealight holders: distribute the little trees in the cotton wool on your windowsill however you like. You don’t need to affix the trees as they all have a little base and will be held upright nicely by the cotton wool. If you like, put a few little skiers or bobsleigh riders in the cotton wool or, like us, on top of the letters!
Your crafted results
And that’s it, your wintery windowsill decoration is ready for cosy evenings at home on the sofa. And very important: never leave candles and fairy lights unattended due to the risk of fire!
We wish you a snug time,
