I Love You!
Create a loving mini diorama in a matchbox as a gift voucher. A voucher for a great time for two or a personal experience with your loved one is always a great gift idea - not only for Valentine's Day. Liska from Dekotopia has come up with something special: a mini diorama in a matchbox! She will now explain how to make it and what you need!

1) Prepare matchbox
I´m not the type for big presents, especially when it comes to prove for love, but rather for small attentions! So if you're looking for a great idea for a voucher, but a card is too boring, hopefully you'll like my idea. Of course, you can also enclose a little letter or write on the back of the matchbox.
There are great mini figures and other material from NOCH kreativ that can be used for such a mini diorama. Putting it together is very easy and quick. I have made two versions: one in the city and one in the countryside. There are no limits to your imagination, as there are many figures for different occasions and scenes.
First, choose a background from your magazine that matches the figures and the voucher. Cut it to size and stick it in your matchbox.

2) Ground design
Now it's time for the " ground ". For the country version, I simply coated the floor with glue and then flocking it with grass. For the city, I applied "concrete" terrain structure paste from the "Industry & Commerce" set with a small spatula. It looks like asphalt. If you don't want to buy the whole set, grey acrylic colour applied with a brush will also do. Both are very easy and need to dry for a few minutes before you can continue.

3) Install figures and accessories
All that's missing now is grass (for the country matchbox) figures and accessories. You can glue all these things in place with temporary glue. To create the meadow, paint the inside wall of the box with the glue and sprinkle in the grass fibres. The figures can also be glued with the temporary glue or you can use the hot glue gun. So that the couple does not stand alone in the empty meadow, I cut off a piece of a larger model tree and glued it down as well.

4) Design a beautiful cover
You can basically design the outer box however you like. I simply cut out words from magazines, covered the box with paper and stuck the magazine snippets on. The mini dioramas in the matchbox can now be wonderfully given away as a gift voucher. In my case, either a city trip or a picnic in the countryside would be nice. But of course you can let the lovers make love in any place that comes to your mind...
