O'zapft is!
Name-badges and decoration for your Oktoberfest. The Oktoberfest in Munich attracts thousands of visitors every year. But it's not only the Wiesn that is celebrated, the folk festival has long been a worldwide phenomenon and many cities around the world have similar festivals in September. For your Oktoberfest at home, Liska from Dekotopia has come up with a great idea for name clips that you can attach to the handle of your beer mug. Not only does it look great, it also makes it impossible to mix up beer glasses in the future! Cheers to creativity!

1) Oans, zwoa, g'suffa! Off to the beer benches!
The little mini-figures look simply cute! The "typical" Bavarians with leather trousers, Tyrolean hat, traditional costume and dirndl sit comfortably swaying on the mini beer benches and drinking their Maß (or Mass). You simply have to make a little DIY with them for the Oktoberfest. And since the beer mugs at the party are always mixed up by the third mug at the latest, matching name tags are the ideal application.
The first thing to do is to get rid of the legs of the small beer table sets. They can be easily broken off or cut off with a cutter or craft knife (be careful not to cut your finger!).

2) Washi Tape should always be at hand!
Washi Tape is never far away in my crafting: it can be procured in many colours and widths and is just super versatile. For the name tags, label it with the name of a beer drinker (i.e. your guests :)) and stick it around a toothpick or a broken match. Then press the toothpick into the hand of one of the little figures and fix it with craft glue or the hot glue gun. The bench is then glued onto a small mini clothes peg.

3) And off to the beer mug!
Now cut out a small strip of strong paper (I cut up a paper bag because it had the matching white and blue Bavarian look) and stick it around the upper part of the handle on the beer mug with tape. You can now use the clip to attach the mini-figures with name tags to the strip to mark the beer. Now no one will ever drink your beer again! :)

4) Pretzels, snacks and decorations in blue and white!
Besides the beer drinkers on the benches, there are also great dancing couples in traditional costume! They fit wonderfully as decoration on a snack board with pretzels. NOCH kreativ has a great temporary glue, which you dab thickly onto the feet of the dancing couples and then leave to dry for a quarter of an hour. The temporary glue then becomes milky-transparent, but remains sticky and you can then glue the figures onto the wooden board. The great thing about this glue is that the pairs can be removed later without leaving any residue! The whole thing also works on plates. So you don't need to buy new crockery after your Oktoberfest party.
Your crafted results
I wish you a lot of fun with DIY and Oktoberfest decorating! If you still need a great idea for a Wiesn voucher, take a look here. If you feel like it, visit me on my blog www.dekotopia.net - I look forward to seeing you! And now: Cheers! Enjoy the beer and the pretzels ;)
Another very important note: If children are sitting at your Oktoberfest table, please take good care that they do not swallow any of the figures. The products are decorative items that are not edible and not intended for children.
