1) In the beginning, "the grass" grows.
The football pitch is made from a grass mat from NOCH kreativ. First roll out the grass mat upside down and draw the outline of the placemat (33 x 46 cm) on the back with a pencil. Then cut out the placemat with scissors. Depending on how many placemats you want to make, we offer grass mats in different sizes from 120 x 60 cm to 300 x 100 cm. Just look around in the shop for the size that suits you best.

2) Become a linesman!
The lines are crucial in the game! On our placemat, they are no less important, because they mark the locations for the plate and beer bottle. First draw a centre line with the Edding® chalk marker, then determine the kick-off point in the middle and place a plate on it. Draw the (slightly too large) centre circle around the plate. Artistic freedom takes precedence over true-to-scale implementation here! After all, the plate should fit into the centre circle and be big enough for a decent slice of pizza. At the latest when you explain this to your husbands, they will agree. The alternative would be a smaller plate with a consequently (too) small piece of pizza ;).
But now the outer lines are missing. Draw them about 1 cm from the edge once around the entire football pitch. Now draw the two approx. 10 cm wide goal areas, penalty points and - very important - three corners. Place a beer bottle in the fourth corner (top right, as seen from you) and trace the outlines with the chalk marker.
A little tip: Your boys will certainly be happy to help you with "technical questions", maybe you can even get them to do some handicrafts together with the football theme!

3) Team formation: Everybody on the pitch!
Now it gets really fun: Unpack the mini footballers and attach them to the pitch with latex glue or temporary glue. The advantage of the temporary glue is, that you can take the figures off again later and use them for another DIY. You can recreate real game scenes with the little football figures. Field players, goalkeepers and even a ball are included in each set. There are many different country teams at NOCH kreativ from which you can choose your team. With this, the placemat is actually (almost) finished. But we don't like the beer bottle yet - much too boring and not styled enough for a real football party. But we have another idea!

4) A (grassed) beer goes with football!
The beer bottle already has the right green base colour, but it's not quite convincing yet. So first we put the bottle in a water bath with washing-up liquid to remove the label. Then we grab the grassing start kit and stuff the small grass fibres into the spray can. We only fill it up to a maximum of two thirds, because there still has to be a little air at the top. Then coat the bottle evenly with the grass glue included in the set (make sure that the glue does not start to run and that it is applied very evenly and thinly). Now shake the spray can strongly. This will cause the grass fibres inside the spray can to become electrostatically charged. If you then blow the grass fibres into the grass glue by pumping the spray can quickly, they will stand up vertically from the bottle due to the electrostatic charge and look like a real lawn.

5) The most important thing at the end: the 12th man (or woman)!
The twelfth man (and of course the twelfth woman) has already decided a game or two. Because the fans in the stadium are at least as important as the team on the pitch! And they are available as a set of mini-figures with flags, scarves and fan accessories to match the footballers. You can glue the figures to the beer bottle(s) with latex glue or to-and-fro glue and decorate them in the right corner of your table set.
Your crafted results
Now we're ready to go! Everything is prepared and styled for the party, and if our team wins, it will be a great football party! We wish you a great party with your friends and wish our boys every success!
Greetings
